WANT TO BOOK YOUR OWN ACCOMMODATION IN INVERNESS?

You are welcome to book your own accommodation in Inverness. Simply select “I WANT TO BOOK MY OWN ACCOMMODATION” during the booking process. We ask that you email us at your earliest opportunity to advise the name of your accommodation so we have this on record.

If you choose to book your own accommodation, your Driver/Guide will drop you off and pick you up each day from the designated meeting point, located at the Bus Stop/Stand in front of: ‘Aspendos Mediterranean Restaurant’, 26 Queensgate, Inverness, IV1 1DJ. On the morning of Day 2, please arrive at the meeting point no later than 7:50am. Your Driver/Guide will advise the meeting time on the morning of Day 3 as this is variable.

PLEASE NOTE: If you select us to book your accommodation, we always strive to book the best within your price range on the dates of your tour. Accommodation within the Scottish Highlands is limited, and Hotels in Inverness (and elsewhere through the Highlands) may differ in standard to those which you are used to in Edinburgh, London or further afield. However, they tend to be clean, comfortable and centrally located. They will also offer such services as an on-site bar and restaurant.

Mixed Hostel dorm beds – if you select a hostel dorm bed booked by us, we will book you into a city-centre youth hostel. Dorm room sizes will average 6-8 beds.

Edinburgh

ACCOMMODATION IN EDINBURGH

Please note that The Hairy Coo does not book pre-tour or post- tour accommodation in Edinburgh and you should book your own in advance of your visit.

Edinburgh is as one of the most popular destinations in Europe and as such, hosts many Hotels, Backpacker Hostels, AirBnb and Guest Houses. There is something for everyone and every budget. As it is such a hot destination at the moment, it is advisable to book well in advance if you are visiting during a peak time, such as August (when we host the Edinburgh International Festival and Fringe) or late December when we host the ‘Hogmanay’ festivities for New Years Eve.

All of our tours depart from the Lawnmarket/Royal Mile in Edinburgh’s Old Town. So if you’re visiting Edinburgh simply as a stop-over before joining up with our tour, it is advisable to book accommodation close to the Royal Mile. However, if you’re spending more time in Edinburgh you might wish to consider staying a little further from the city centre to get better value for money.
